BY-GEN is a multi-purpose toolkit designed to help people create artworks using the generation techniques in Blender. This plugin has evolved over time, initially providing a set of modifier templates that allow people to create interesting parameterized shapes by modifying values in the modifier stack. Over time, new features have been added that allow people to generate structures using branching and hierarchical generation algorithms, as well as a series of interesting miscellaneous operations. With the new support for geometric nodes, the toolset has been expanded to include new types of scattering, displacement, and upcoming structural generation methods. Over time, geometric nodes should replace all original modifier styles, but as the functional set of geometric nodes expands in Blender, this transformation will take time (and further updates).
