Five free presets that can be used with the Shadow Studio 2 plug-in in After Effects to create gorgeous and simple interior shadows. “We have improved the settings and carefully adjusted the plug-in to provide you with an excellent appearance almost immediately.”.
The 5 presets include:
Rim Lighting SS2 – Attempted to replicate the three point lighting style, applying three instances of Shadow Studio 2. One serves as a general main light, the second as a large and soft shadow, and the third as a bright and short edge light.
Glowing Edge SS2 – Use the Deep Glow plug-in to create soft glowing edge highlights for your layer. Apply this to the replication layer, and then change the blend mode to Add.
Colored Highlight SS2 – Combining the power of Shadow Studio 2 and the Colorama effect, this preset allows you to create sweet interior highlights and scrub the warm sunset palette on your layer. Apply this to the duplicate layer, and then change the blend mode to filter color. Fixed presets in version 1.1.1.
Inner Lighting SS2 – Apply two instances of Shadow Studio 2, one for interior shadows and the other for interior highlights. We have fine-tuned the settings and linked the angle controls, so when you change the angle of the highlight, the shadows follow but flip to the other side.
Full Lighting SS2 – Same as Inner Lighting above, but now includes a Shadow Studio 2 projection, which is also associated with highlight angles for maximum efficiency.
